G3 Registration System:
The objective of the registration system project is to transition registration functionality from the current Semtek system to a WEB based G3S system. The initial project includes UW-Extension, UW-Madison and UW-Milwaukee.
The new system will be called G3 and will replace the current system SEMtek and provide additional user functionality and support for registration, finance and marketing.
What's NEW?
Version 2.3.69 of G3 has been delivered and installed on October 30, 2009..
Project Goals
- Conduct and complete a Business Process Improvement (BPI) analysis to stream line and standardize business processes.
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Manage a Fit/Gap analysis using the Best Business Practices and determine business solutions to accommodate identified areas.
- Engage all users in the processes and communicate progress on regular basis
- Minimize customization to base product
- Incorporate UW best business needs into base product partnering with G3S
- Minimize impact on users and inter operating systems
- Build the infrastructure for operations support
- Implement G3 on the ‘go live’ schedule ‘TBD’
